About me - Baby Photography Brisbane

Hi I'm Stef! If you have been following me on social media but we have never met you might be wondering who I am and what I do? Well firstly I'm a wife and mum to 3 girls, Molly, Ally and Ryleigh. They keep me busy and on my toes (the teenage years are going to be fun!) They are 8, 3 and 3 months. We have a lot of fun together and every now and then they let me take photos of them.

I started my business when my eldest was just a baby. I knew I had to get back into the workforce but I just couldn't bare the thought of a 9-5pm job behind a desk. Ive always loved photography having studied it at school and learning the fundamentals of film cameras and developing my own images in a dark room. So I decided to start my own business - best decision I could have ever made!

I purchased my first camera and some equipment and I've never looked back. This will be my 8th year in business and I've loved every minute of it. I photograph newborns, pregnant woman and families capturing some of the most precious times in their lives. I also photograph births which are the most incredible experience and I look forward to getting back into those in the coming years.

I've bought and sold equipment and props, changed photography styles and moved into my own studio. But the one thing I've kept consistent is my service to my clients. They are the people who allow me to be at my daughters school and watch her receive an award. Attend playgroup and help my shy little girl make new friends. And put food on the table. Without my clients I wouldn't be where I am today. And that is what pushes me to go above and beyond and give my clients the best experience I can. My beautiful clients recommend me to their friends, come back year after year and support my little business.

Welcome to my Studio - Baby Photography Brisbane

This is my gorgeous studio based on Brisbane's Southside, it's always been my dream to have my own studio and that dream became a reality back in 2017. I shoot Maternity and Newborn clients in this calming space and also hold all of my design appointments for clients.

The room is all white with a very large window at the entrance as I don't use artificial lighting so I rely on the natural light coming through. This is what gives my images that natural soft appearance.

I use a daybed for capturing family and sibling photos and also for posing my smallest clients.

All the products are available to view in the studio so you can touch and see the samples to know exactly what you are purchasing. These products have been sourced by the top labs in Brisbane and come with lifetime guarantees.

There is also a change room and for my Maternity clients a range of outfits to use during the session. Over the years I have sourced an extensive range of newborn props for my clients. These props are all on display in the studio and available for clients to choose.

Having a photography studio allows me to provide an amazing experience for my clients from the moment they arrive to the collection of their products it's all conducted here in the studio.

Prepare for your baby with this essential checklist

Expecting a baby and feeling like you have a huge list of things to buy but not sure where to start? I have created an essential check list so you can tick off each item as you go and know you have everything covered for when your baby arrives. Not everything on the list will be needed for every parent but it covers all those big ticket items and smaller things that can come in handy with a new Bub.

Baby Shops are a great place to start as they cover a lot of these items and you can see them first hand and decide what type of Pram/Carseat etc you might be wanting. Once you have narrowed down your choices you can start purchasing and ticking the items off the list. It can also make a great list to give to your baby shower guests and let them know what else you still need.

If you are on a budget or trying to save on items you aren't sure if you will use you can purchase all of these items from second hand sites such as Gumtree, Ebay, Facebook Marketplace and Secondhand Shops. You might even have girlfriends who have older children and no longer need some of their baby items and can pass them onto you.
