I captured my beautiful friend of 20+ years Shari when she expecting her third baby. She was a goddess modelling some of the beautiful new maternity gowns I have available in the studio. I love the boho vibe and this gorgeous dress suits every mama!

Not long after her maternity shoot, the most precious baby girl entered the world! Sadie what a darling little girl you are and so loved by her big brother and sister. Here is a little sneak preview of her newborn shoot.

When you book in for a Maternity Shoot with Stefanie Plum Photography you also get to use all the stunning gowns and clothing I have in my studio! I love capturing pregnant women and the journey they are about to embark on into motherhood. The body goes through so many changes during pregnancy and with those changes can come stretch marks for some women. I've heard countless times over the years that women put off pregnancy photos because of it. And I tell them all that during these sessions I listen to all my clients and design their shoot around their comfort level. I have clothing for more discreet mum's to be so no one misses out on capturing this once in a lifetime opportunity.

I have a range of handmade gowns that are so versatile and flattering for all sizes. I also know how to pose you to achieve the most flattering angles and I aim to make you feel relaxed and comfortable during your session. On request I can also remove blemishes, reduce excessive swelling and give mums a little confidence boost with very natural editing.

I try to stock a good selection of unique items and I'm always adding to my collection. I also love working with my clients and encourage them to bring along any items they wish to be photographed with.

If you wish to use the gowns for outdoor sessions I can bring a selection with me to your session for you to use. I have a brochure which features all of my maternity clothing so you can browse through it and decide which items you would like me to bring prior to your shoot.

Prepare for your baby with this essential checklist

Expecting a baby and feeling like you have a huge list of things to buy but not sure where to start? I have created an essential check list so you can tick off each item as you go and know you have everything covered for when your baby arrives. Not everything on the list will be needed for every parent but it covers all those big ticket items and smaller things that can come in handy with a new Bub.

Baby Shops are a great place to start as they cover a lot of these items and you can see them first hand and decide what type of Pram/Carseat etc you might be wanting. Once you have narrowed down your choices you can start purchasing and ticking the items off the list. It can also make a great list to give to your baby shower guests and let them know what else you still need.

If you are on a budget or trying to save on items you aren't sure if you will use you can purchase all of these items from second hand sites such as Gumtree, Ebay, Facebook Marketplace and Secondhand Shops. You might even have girlfriends who have older children and no longer need some of their baby items and can pass them onto you.
